Smaller Changes We’d Like to See in Classic+

As "leaks" and rumors continue to ramp up ahead of BlizzCon in September, players are continuing to add content to their wishlists that they'd like to see in a future version of WoW Classic. Recently, content creator WillE shared some smaller changes that he would like to see in Classic+, and we have to agree, some of these changes or additions would be great!

Classic+ Evidence & Speculation

Ravasaur Trainers

In Classic, Alliance players have the opportunity to build faction reputation with the Wintersaber Trainers, which ultimately leads to unlocking the Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber mount. This is prestigious because of how long the grind can take.

However, Horde players do not have an equivalent mount that they can earn. Well, not until the Wrath of the Lich King expansion that is. You see, there is an NPC in Un'Goro Crater named Mor'vek who represents the Ravasaur Trainers faction. This Faction has existed in the files since Vanilla, but it was never put to use until WoW's second expansion, where Horde players could finally earn reputation to obtain the Whistle of the Venomhide Ravasaur mount through a series of daily quests.

Since it appears that this faction was originally intended to be available in the original game, it would be great if Blizzard added this Faction and Mount to Classic+ to give Horde players something fun to earn.

Default Nameplate Range

In Classic, players can only see the nameplates of targets that are up to 20 yards away. This makes it especially difficult for classes like Hunters to be able to see what they're attacking. In The Burning Crusade Anniversary, Blizzard recently updated default Nameplates with a ton of new options. Increasing the default nameplate range would make life easier for everyone.

41-yard Nameplate range in Vanilla compared to Wrath

Many of these changes will be coming to Classic Era, Season of Discovery, & Hardcore realms as part of upcoming maintenance, so it is expected that these Nameplate, Raid Frame, and Edit Mode options will likely make their way into Classic+ as well.

Expanded Dungeons

There are some Dungeons in WoW that appear to not be entirely finished. As if Blizzard was working on an additional wing or section, and then ran out of time before the content was scheduled to ship. One prominent example of this is in Blackrock Depths.

While this is already one of the largest dungeons in Vanilla, Bael'Gar on the Dark Iron Highway does seem to be protecting a door. We've never seen what's beyond this door in Classic, but could this lead to yet another wing of the Blackrock Depths in Classic+?

More Class-Specific Areas

During the Legion expansion, Blizzard added Class Order Halls to the game, which act as a dedicated headquarters for each Class in the game. These hubs contain class-relevant lore characters, class quests, and a flavor to the game that only exists in a few areas of Classic. Two of the best examples are Moonglade for Druids and the Ravenholdt faction for Rogues.

It would be great to have more class-specific areas where players could meet, and fully immerse themselves in their character in the world. Some examples that could make sense for Classic+ include:

Hunter's Lodge

A Mage-exclusive section of Dalaran

An Abbey or place(s) of worship for Paladins & Priests

An elemental plane for Shamans

An underground coven for Warlocks, similar to Shadow Hold in Felwood

An arena or fight club for Warriors, similar to the Ring of Valor in Orgrimmar's Valley of Honor.
