Shaman Tanks, Collections and Zones – JackedIQ Interview on WoW: Forever

JackedIQ interviewed Blizzard on WoW: Forever and discussed Shaman Tanks, the Collections features, and more!

In an interview with Blizzard, JackedIQ interviewed Holly Longdale and Clay Stone and discussed some popular community topics.

We've summarized some of the key points of the interview below.

Collections

They want to serve players who come to WoW: Forever for different reasons.

They brought in the collections system, which is more of a Retail feature.

When you open the collections menu in WoW: Forever, you will not see everything available in the game. You will only see it when you've collected it.

There's a lot to find in the World, and they're trying to keep as much of it hidden for as long as possible.

Players are very good at crowdsourcing things. They want the community to be the experts instead of Blizzard handing it all to players.

Shaman Tanks

They are really interested in seeing how players play the classes.

They are interested in seeing what playstyles players lean into.

Shaman Tanks are a very popular discussion amongst the team. It's not something they're officially pursuing right now.

Playstyle Changing Items

There are things hidden in the game that will not be discovered until after launch that may change the way you play your class.

An example is a certain Sword that makes Mages more of a Battle-Mage.

They are very excited to see how excited the community was about that.

There may be more of those items hidden in the game.

New Zones

There are more continents such as Northrend and Pandaria, and while nothing is off the table, it's more about what the team decides to do and where the team wants to grow the narrative.

The original continents can change, so you could spend a lifetime in the two continents.

The team right now is focused on "What is the best story to tell?"

Azeroth is a big place, and playing in the first year of World of Warcraft allows for some cool ideas.
