Players Report Bans Associated With Recent Knowledge Point Exploit

Before Season 1 of Midnight, some players noticed that as long as they kept the vendor window open, they could continuously purchase the Knowledge Point books from Renown vendors. However, it is now being reported that players who took part in this exploit have been banned, beginning with the release of Season 1.

Since these books were intended to provide a one-time bonus of 10 Knowledge Points, players who purchased several of the same book were able to increase their chosen profession's Knowledge Points tremendously. According to the above post on r/wow, the exploiters have been given a 7-day ban and their Knowledge Points have been reset. However, the damage may have already been done, since exploiters were able to sell profession products through the Auction House since pre-season.
