Player Housing Database Player Housing Builds
What Took So Long?
Several features, such as dying, scaling, and rotating Decor, had to be built from scratch. Blizzard also wanted the Housing feature to be ready and extraordinary right out of the gate, so they decided to take more time to make sure it was up to their standard.
What is the Maximum Housing Size?
It's an ongoing conversation. While Exterior limits must be set so that players can comfortably coexist in neighbourhoods, indoor limitations are more lenient and depend on the individual player's hardware.
Indoor limits will continue to increase as players level up their individual houses. While the team does not have a hard limit yet, there may eventually be technical limits that could be hit.
Guild Housing
Right now, the developers are focused on allowing players to create their own individual spaces. While they do not want to rule out the possibility of a Guild Hall in the future, there are many different opinions on what this type of structure would look like or how it would be used.
While the developers would like to allow players to show off their Mounts, Pets, and transmog, their primary focus is on allowing players to create their individual Houses.
Public Housing Moderation
Public Neighbourhoods will not have player-enforced moderation. If a player sees or experiences inappropriate behaviour within a Public Neighbourhood, there are in-game tools that they can use to report this behaviour.
Players can create specific privacy limitations for their own plots. For example, players can set limits allowing anyone in their neighbourhood to visit their plot, but only players on their Friends List can enter their home.
Will Housing Affect Player Progression?
Right now, there is nothing in Housing that is related to player power. The developers don't want players to feel like they have to engage with Player Housing to enjoy other aspects of the game.
How Many Houses Can One Account Have?
Currently, players can only have one Horde and one Alliance House per account. While players are limited to two Houses per account, any character on that player's account can visit either of their Houses.
