Patch 1.11: Shadow of the Necropolis opened on June 20th, 2006. It is the end of Classic. Ragnaros has been defeated. Onyxia has been foiled. The ogres of Dire Maul have been routed. The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj hang open and abandoned. What more could a hero want? A floating necropolis, of course! In this patch players got to take on Kel'Thuzad (not for the last time) and his minions in his floating headquarters above the Plaguelands.
