Our Quality of Life Wishlist for Player Housing

Player Housing is available as early access on live servers, and while the community has made amazing creations, some features are sorely needed as we approach the full release with the Midnight Expansion in March of 2026.

Player Housing Overview
The rich depth of the housing system has already made for some Xal'atath shrines and other fun builds, but with a staggering amount of remaining quality of life that could be added, we're taking a look at some of the most requested features for the system.

Housing Quality of Life Wishlist
Many of the Quality of Life changes and features below will impact players differently, and are not listed in any particular order. Blizzard has also noted multiple times in the past that they are keeping a close eye on community feedback regarding player housing, and they already have multiple feature upgrades planned.

Undo Button
Sometimes you just hit the delete button by accident or move the wrong piece of furniture, an undo button would be a massive help for a lot of perfectionists out there

Decor-Locking
When you have your furniture exactly where you want it, being able to lock it down to avoid any unwanted adjustments is a great help, especially for builds with tiny details.

Group/Multi-select
When making layered builds like the dining table below, even moving the table or rotating it slightly becomes a massive headache. Using a multi-select click-and-drag function or even adding standard Ctrl+click functionality to items would be huge for reorganizing a build.

Plot Borders
Why is it that the exterior grid continues to show grid spaces even well outside of a plot's border? Building a perimeter, or just knowing where there is valid space to build, is a significant visual help, and being able to see the limits of a plot is a no-brainer for a quality-of-life feature.

Import/Export Decor Snippets
I am not the most talented builder in my guild, but there is some incredible work being done in my neighborhood! Being able to get an import for a custom window or an outdoor reading nook to use as a starting point would be a huge help! Even just being able to share base layouts or rough sketches of a room goes a long way in planning out a set of decor.

Inviting to Housing
A lot of players have super cool houses, ranging from visually stunning builds to intricate jump puzzles to complete. But the ability to visit players is currently somewhat limited. The most straightforward way to add visiting functionality is to allow visiting the homes of any player in your party, or to expand the Neighborhood search beyond just Battle.net Friends.
