New Player Experience Streamlined for a Smoother Path to Max Level in Midnight

With over 20 years of incredible lore, expansions, and storylines, it can definitely be intimidating to jump into the world of Azeroth. Over time, the new player experience has been a focus of Blizzard's tweaking to ensure that newcomers to World of Warcraft aren't completely overwhelmed, and as the Worldsoul Saga charges on, those changes continue: the Exile's Reach leveling campaign, along with a few other major story beats from the past few expansions, will be getting a few touch-ups in Midnight to better introduce players to the current storyline!

Midnight Overview Midnight Preorders

Exile's Reach Revamp
We've all started our leveling experiences somewhere, and for a lot of players, it was in Exile's Reach. This leveling zone was introduced back in the Shadowlands expansion, and offered players a 1-10 leveling experience along with teaching the basics of combat and exploration in the PvE world of Azeroth.

Players have the option to choose Exile's Reach when starting their leveling experience.

With Midnight, this leveling zone will be given a revamp with mentions of the overall leveling campaign seeing updates. The goal here is to have the Exile's Reach campaign flow into the Dragonflight zones. While we are not sure on exact details at this time, players will have a much more thorough leveling experience in the Exile's Reach campaign.

Story Mode Dragonflight Raids
As part of the new leveling experiences, the Dragonflight raids will be getting Story Mode difficulty for the final bosses of each raid:

Vault of the Incarnates: Raszageth

Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: Sarkareth

Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope: Fyrakk

Story Mode for Dragonflight Raids allows players to experience the epic raid fights of Dragonflight!

Certain points in the Dragonflight Campaign quests will require you to defeat the bosses in the raids; having Story Mode will allow players to defeat these bosses entirely solo and keep the Campaign quests continuing. A very nice change that shows players the major story beats that led to our current state of the game!

New Starting Experience for Returning Players
For the returning players with prior WoW experience, fear not, you were not left out. There will be a new "starting experience" that takes place in the Arathi Highlands that gives the opportunity to catchup on the game mechanics and over-arching story of WoW. This optional Arathi Highlands tour can be done with Jaina or Thrall, two very iconic characters present throughout many different parts of WoW's story.

Returning players will return to the Arathi Highlands for a new "starting experience" campaign.
