The new item level cap is 779!
Through scrapping and content in Legion Remix, players can now obtain Flawless Thread of Time and Artifactium Sand to grow past item level 740! Content will now drop Flawless Threads of Time instead of Mote of a Broken Time which grants a piece of gear! The very first pieces of gear that were opened on a 740 character were 753 gear, but now this gear is increased by +4 item levels above the watermark.

Scrapping purple drops 1-3
It shouldn't take too long to upgrade your gear to this new item level assuming you were at 740. Complete a couple Mythic raids and scrap more gear and you'll get there in no time!
