Heroic World Tier - The Shattered Timeline
Taking inspiration from Diablo, Legion Remix will introduce a new, increased difficulty World Tier called the Shattered Timeline. This is an opt-in difficulty setting that allows players to challenge themselves with both leveling and open-world end-game content.
Open-world players will be challenged in new and exciting ways, but also earn greater rewards. Mobs in Heroic World Tier have 500% more health and damage, but provide more experience, Bronze and Infinite Power in exchange.
Heroic World Tier changes all outdoor activities, including World Bosses, World Quests, and scenarios.
Entering and Leaving Heroic World Tier
Once the introduction questline to Legion Remix is completed, you'll be able to start opting into the Heroic World Tier via the quest Infinite Chaos. You can enter the Heroic World Tier at any time by interacting with the Console of Infinite Chaos, sitting to the right of Eternus at the Infinite Bazaar.
Once in Heroic World Tier, if you wish to leave, there are three ways:
By interacting with the Console of Infinite Chaos once more;
By using the provided Temporal Retreat ability;
If you die in Heroic World Tier, you can talk to any Spirit Healer, who will bring you back to Normal World Tier.
Empowered Mobs in Heroic World Tier
In Heroic World Tier, in addition to mobs having increased health and damage, certain mobs are Empowered. An Empowered mob has additional abilities players must contend with. There are a total of 4 different Empowered effects, and mobs can have more than 1 effect at a time! Killing an Empowered Mob will grant extra Bronze and Infinite Power tokens.

Lore of the Heroic World Tier
There is a hint of lore hidden in the Heroic World Tier, suggesting that this is a timeline that Eternus and the Infinite Dragonflight have altered for their experiments, pushing the Legion Timeline to its limits.
The first indicator for this is in the Heroic World Tier skybox itself. One of the more known Legion skyboxes is the green skies one shown in areas originally ravaged by the Burning Legion invasion, such as the Broken Shore zone and areas like Felsoul Hold in Suramar. In Heroic World Tier, the legion-ravaged skybox can be seen across the entirety of the Broken Isles.
Another change noticed in Heroic World Tier is to the Spirit Healers - Instead of the usual Kyrians we've grown accustomed to, the Spirit Healers seen in Heroic World look like Mawsworn entities. If you die in Heroic World Tier, these beings can still resurrect us - However, they will transport you back to Normal World Tier when doing so.
