Rank 8 unlocks a slew of a short turn-in quests, all leading to cosmetic rewards.
Deal with Cartel Ba, Om, & Zo
This patch is all about the Ethereals, so it's only fitting we finally get to join one of the cartels! Upon turning in the renown 8 quest, players will be awarded three inscription recipes, which are Warbound so that they may be used them on alts. Though crafting the deals requires a new Manaforged Instrument material dropped from Forgeweaver Araz, they are not bound and can also be farm with alts, while the crafted Deals are fully tradeable.
We haven't been able to fully explore this yet, so there may be new interactions opened up with other objects and NPCs around Ka'resh as well.
Once crafted, the Deals themselves appear to be entirely cosmetic in nature, unlocking a new title to use for the duration of the week-long buff. Though there do not appear to be any major systems like the Goblin Cartels of Undermine, we previously datamined seemingly related spells in Zo Dead Drop and Cartel Zo Cypher, though haven't managed to find anything in game yet.
Ethereal Gleeful Glamor
This craft also requires the Manaforged Instrument dropped by Forgeweaver Araz, though the transformation only lasts up to an hour. It doesn't feature many animations, and the ones it does have are pretty stiff, so don't expect any special effects. There do appear to be multiple variants though, seemingly chosen at random.
We've seen at least two variants, though there may be more.
Vandal's Gearglider
Also unlocked at Renown rank 8 is the Vandal's Gearglider mount. Like other geargliders, it's a disc mount which surfs across the skies.
Zo'ya
Finally, players will earn the trust of Zo'ya, a cat-like purrkin battle pet, who is also apparently a member of the Zo cartel.
Zo'ya also has a comfortable idle animation.
