What is the Eye of the Black Prince?
Rewarded for completing the final quest of Chapter II, Eye of the Black Prince adds a prismatic socket to a Sha-Touched weapon or Armament of the Thunder King. A prismatic socket is a colourless socket that any standard gem can be added to.
Normal and Heroic versions of Sha-Touched weapons drop in Terrace of Endless Spring and Heart of Fear, and Armament of the Thunder King will be dropped in Throne of Thunder in Phase 3. Celestial Sha-Touched weapons are purchasable, and Celestial Armament of the Thunder King will be purchasable 2 weeks after Throne of Thunder is released, for August Stone Fragment.
After receiving Eye of the Black Prince as a quest reward, you will be able to purchase additional Eyes for (before discounts) each from Blacktalon Quartermaster in The Veiled Stair or from Commander Oxheart in Townlong Steppes. If you are dual-wielding, you can add an Eye to both equipped weapons.
Beginning Chapter II: Wrathion's War
To begin, you must have completed Breath of the Black Prince, the final quest of Chapter I, and then finish the first three quests of the Landfall Campaign. This is slightly different for Alliance and Horde, but both involve assisting your faction's landing in Krasarang Wilds and unlocking the new reputation factions, Operation: Shieldwall and Dominance Offensive.
Meet the Scout
If you do not automatically have this quest, it can be started by talking to Lyalia in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Speak with Scout Lynna at Krasarang Cove in Krasarang Wilds.
