Here's all you need to know to find an egg and hatch your own Primal Raptor!

How to Reach the Isle of Giants

The Isle of Giants is found by flying north from Kun'Lai Summit. Once you near land, Clinging Mist will close in on you, dismounting from any flying mount (including Swift Flight Form). You are only able to use ground mounts while in this zone.

You are automatically dismounted from flying mounts when approaching the isle - but the Goblin Glider still works!

Unless you're extremely high in the air, you should land in the water, but you may want to be ready with a spell like Slow Fall or Levitate to carry your momentum and land on the isle. If you have Reins of the Azure Water Strider from The Anglers, the isle is an ideal place to make use of its unique water-walking properties.

How to get a Primal Raptor

Primal Egg drops from Elite dinosaurs on the Isle of Giants. Primal Eggs are unique, so you can only hold one at a time, and after 3 real days (including time logged out!), they hatch into Cracked Primal Egg. This will contain one of the three Primal Raptors; though, if you're looking to collect all three, be aware that you can get duplicates.

Primal Direhorn Hatchling mainly spawn along the southern coast of the Isle of Giants

Many of the mobs on the Isle of Giants are impossible to solo for most specializations; the best option for most players, if you're unable to put together a group, is the Primal Direhorn Hatchling. These still hit pretty hard and have a stacking debuff, Triple Puncture, so you will need decent gear to take them on. There are a few different coloured variations of this mob, but they all have the same drop table.

The tougher dinosaurs have a higher drop chance, but these Hatchlings only have around a 2% chance of dropping an egg, so be prepared for a long-ish grind. Although it may take a little while to pick up a Primal Egg, while you're farming these mobs, you could get lucky enough for them to drop a Direhorn Runt. Also, as with all dinosaurs in this zone, they are guaranteed to drop some Giant Dinosaur Bones; 999 of these can be traded for Spectral Porcupette, and Reins of the Bone-White Primal Raptor can be acquired in exchange for 9999 of them.
