How to Earn the Riding Goat Mounts in Mists of Pandaria Classic

There is nothing better than kicking back and letting your goat do the walking, and mount collectors are sure to want to get their hands on at least one of the three available goat mounts in Mists of Pandaria Classic. While the reputation grind is a bit tedious, it is relatively straightforward. Here is everything you need to know to get yourself one (or three!!) of these laid-back goat mounts.

The Tillers Reputation Guide

Purchasing the Riding Goat Mounts

There are three different Goat mounts to choose from: the Reins of the Black Riding Goat, Reins of the White Riding Goat, and the Reins of the Brown Riding Goat. These all vary in price, with the most expensive being the Reins of the Black Riding Goat, which costs . Each mount can be purchased from Gina Mudclaw, who can be found in Halfhill.

Gaining Reputation with The Tillers

The Tillers is a faction found within the Valley of the Four Winds zone. This is one of the most complex factions to gain reputation with, as you will need to harvest crops and gain the rep needed by expanding your farmland. You will also be tasked with forming a friendship with 10 different Tiller NPCs, each of which will help you enhance your farm in Halfhill.

While you can start the introductory quests for The Tillers at level 85, most of the quests are locked until reaching level 90, so we do not recommend beginning this grind until you reach max level. There are a massive number of quests and questlines you will need to complete for each of the 10 Tillers, tasking you with talking to several NPCs and both planting and harvesting different crops, such as Juicycrunch Carrot, Scallions, Green Cabbage, Witchberries, and Striped Melon.

There will also be several different daily quests you can complete to gain even more reputation, which are on a random rotation, and will have you planting and harvesting several crops, and giving gifts to the different Tiller NPCs in Halfhill to gain Friendship.

After completing the initial questline, you'll have access to 4 plots to grow your crops. This expands to 16 plots as you progress through the union questline. In these plots, you can plant seeds sold by Merchant Greenfield, which will at first grant you basic cooking materials but then give more interesting materials, like Mote of Harmony, as you gain reputation with The Tillers.

It's not as simple as just planting the seed and gaining your reward, however. You'll need to till your soil and make sure all weeds and vermin are cleared. After planting your seed, you can run into some problems that need to be rectified if you wish to harvest your crop.
