There are some caveats to take into consideration with this strategy though in order to pull it off efficiently and without sacrificing too much in the process.
Obtaining and Activating the Seal
In order to even get the seal in the first place, you have to actually drop your difficulty below Torment 1. The Gold Drop Rate affix only appears as part of the "practiced technique" set bonus, which is the pre-torment set bonus available to players as part of the first generic Charm set.
The most efficient way to do this is to farm your seals in higher difficulties first, store them in your stash, then lower your difficulty and use the Horadric Cube to amalgamate them 3 to 1. Once you have the seal, you will then need to activate a bonus from the Practiced Technique Set in order to activate the affix.
Drawbacks and Optimizations
The most obvious drawback to this strategy is that you will most likely not be able to use your 6-slot seal, or be forced to reroll seals until achieving both a 6-slot seal and the Gold Drop affix (which will take A LOT of rerolling).
The other drawback to be painfully aware of is that by equipping the 2 set of the Practiced Technique charm set, you must break your builds charm set in the process. For nearly every build, this is a massive damage loss. If your character is not well optimized, you most likely cannot farm in the highest torment difficulties with this setup. Luckily we can get around that in some circumstances!
The Gold Drop Rate on things like Whisper Caches is actually calculated upon opening the cache, not when it drops. This means you can functionally hoard whisper caches in your stash until the end of your session, make the swap to your Gold Drop setup (the armory is good for this if you have an open slot), open all the caches, and collect your gold!
