Window, window on the wall
In their standard rotation, windows emit a soft glow that obscures the vision you would typically expect. There's really not much to see here; it's just your standard window!
It's when we look at the window from behind that things get interesting. The window pane is actually see-through! It turns out the layer of light on the windows isn't omnidirectional, so it only has the frosted-window look in the standard rotation. We can make use of this quirk in various ways.
A great usage of this comes courtesy of Omnithic-Area52, who made this cozy indoor garden viewable from behind two windows. Players have also used this trick to create fake outdoor views, glass cabinets, fish tanks, and more.
How to utilize the trick and Quirks
Getting a see-through window is as easy as placing a window down and rotating it to face the "wrong" way. This can be done in both standard and advanced modes, as the only requirement is to rotate it 180 degrees, but it is recommended to use the advanced tools to place it more precisely.
One notable quirk of this trick is that flipping the window does not eliminate the light coming through the window pane, so whatever you put behind your window will be illuminated. This can be worked around, as in the example in the previous section, by using many similarly colored and illuminated plants.
Using an orange-tinted window is also an option, which would give the room a different color temperature and allow for other builds, such as a display case for various trophies, bathed in a regal golden glow.
