First Tier of Midnight Will Feature Three New Raids and 9 Boss Fights

With today's announcements at Gamescom, players finally know more about World of Warcraft's next expansion. The next chapter of The Worldsoul Saga starts off with a bang, in a way we haven't seen in some time - 9 raid bosses across 3 different raids are coming with the first tier of the Midnight expansion, making this the first time we've seen a mini-raid instance since Battle for Azeroth!

3 New Raids, 9 New Bosses, Endless Fun
Raiding has always been a stable form of endgame content in World of Warcraft, often revealing huge plot points about the main story of Azeroth. With Midnight, players will be able to experience Midnight's epic story across 3 different raids:

The Voidspire: A 6-boss raid within the Voidstorm that serves as Xal'atath's stronghold.

The Dreamrift: A single boss raid that takes players to a place where the veil between primordial dreams and brutal reality is thin.

March on Quel'Danas: A 2-boss raid with large story spoilers. More details on this raid to come later.

Where Will These Raids Take Us Story-wise?
While much remains to be answered about the story in Midnight, there's a lot we already know from the Gamescon 2025 reveal. From the reveal, we see that The Voidspire raid takes place in the new Voidstorm zone, a distant world teeming with Void energy. The Voidspire also serves as Xal'atath's stronghold.

Following the events of Manaforge Omega, we saw Xal'atath free herself from The Dark Heart, flee with it in hand, all while promising to claim what is "rightfully hers". Will we find out the next steps in Xal'atath's plan in The Voidspire raid?

Future Story Speculation
In the 'Doorstep Teaser' for the Midnight Reveal at Gamescon, we also see screenshots of Lor'themar and Xal'atath. Lor'themar is a the Regent Lord of Quel'Thalas and inside Quel'Thalas is the zone, Quel'Danas, fitting with the name of the 3rd raid coming with Midnight. What would Xal'atath want with Lor'themar? Is our story going to center around these two characters in March of Quel'Danas?
