Boss Arena and Phase 1: Critical Mass
The boss arena splits the raid into two groups, where each group defeats certain adds and interacts with varying gravity manipulation mechanics from the boss.
Each group has a Living Mass add to defeat, dropping Excess Mass that needs to be picked up by players. During Dimensius' Devour, the players with Excess Mass must stack together to create a Collective Gravity safe zone for the raid. Any players not standing in this safe zone will be pulled in by Devour and killed. The visual effects during Devour are intense and do a great job of capturing the intensity of the fight!
Intermission Phase: Event Horizon
In the intermission, players are sucked through a black hole where Xal'atath empowers the raid with Soaring Reshii, allowing players to Skyride.
Players must fly to platforms, dodging Broken World fragments, a HUGE Astrophysical Jet beam from Dimensius, and Black Holes along the way. This intermission shows just how massive of a boss Dimensius truly is!
Each platform has a large Voidlord add and smaller Voidwarden adds to defeat. Occasionally Dimensius will cast Extinction, throwing a large fragment of a broken world at the platform. Get to the edge of the platform before it hits you!
Phase 3: Singularity
After the Voidlord adds are defeated, players are brought to the final stage of the fight. Throughout the phase, the arena gets covered in Voidstars. These Voidstars save players from Dimenius' Devour ability previously seen in Phase 1. As the fight progresses, Supernova will cause these Voidstars to turn into Black Holes, be careful not to get pulled in!
The other crucial part of the fight is Darkened Sky, where Dimensius calls down a series of meteors that crash into the arena, causing resulting Shadowquake rings. Players will need to run through Shadowquake rings, but not too quickly as it stacks a debuff. Crossing the rings too quickly will rapidly increase the DoT damage you take, likely killing you.
Dimensius Defeated Cutscene
Once defeated, Dimensius gets pulled into the Dark Heart, saving Azeroth from this world ending threat. After some dialogue, Xal'atath will summon a void portal, offering to stay behind in the Dark Heart while everyone else can escape. Clicking the void portal will trigger the raid finale cinematic.
