Players can access the Infernal Hordes through use of a Infernal Hordes Compass, allowing entry to a wave-based hack-and-slash gamemode with a Boss at the end. Learn about Infernal Hordes and the best strategies using our Infernal Hordes Guide, rewritten and fully updated for Season 10!

Why Run Infernal Hordes
Infernal Hordes have great rewards, regardless of where you might be in your journey. At early levels before Torment Difficulty, the Fleeting Hordes Compasses grant a large amount of experience. They can give a lot of early Legendary items, which can upgrade your Aspects.

Later on in Torment Difficulties, the rewards only get better, with the addition of the Material Cache at the end of the encounter. This ends up being the best way to get Obducite to Masterwork gear, but also grants a large amount of gem fragments, which can be difficult to farm.

New to Season 10, the final Bartuc fight Guarantees a Chaos Armor drop on higher Torment Difficulties, which rounds out Infernal Hordes as one of the best overall farms in the entire game.

Even Better with Updates
With Updates to the Gamemode coming in a Patch on October 7th, Infernal Hordes are even better than before, and one of the most annoying offerings has been dramatically improved. Soulspires previously have been super irritating for the playerbase, forcing players to stand in a small circle and kill mobs as they enter. This positional requirement to clear the Offering has been alleviated by an increase in the range, as well as spawning additional monsters inside the circle.

The range of Soulspires was increased, and Monsters will frequently ambush players inside.

Developer’s Note: We believe this change leans into the frenetic feel of Infernal Hordes while still retaining Soulspires' role as a high-investment, high-payout Infernal offer.
The Ambushing Hellborne Infernal Offer now results in far more Hellborne ambushes.

The Best Offerings for Infernal Hordes
There is still a lot of discourse amongst the community as to which strategy is the best, and that's especially true with the buffs to Hellborne and Soulspires coming this week. While there are many good offerings to consider, the best strategies so far have focused on one type. Some examples include:

Aether Fiends
With the following combo, Elites can spawn as Aether Lords, which grant a lot of Aether. Make sure to pick anything related to Aether Fiends or Aether Lords to scale the run.

The Fiendish Legions - Elite and Aether Fiend damage increased. Aether Fiends have a chance to spawn in the place of Elites.

The Colossal Fiends - Aether Fiends cause Hellfire to erupt around them. Aether Fiends spawn as Aether Lords and drop 3x Aether.

Hellborne
Hellborne do not naturally spawn, but can be spawned using the following offerings. These are generally only good if you can stack many Hellborne Offerings.

The Ambushing Hellborne - Hellborne can now ambush you. Hellborne grant +1 Aether.

The Summoned Hellborne - Hellborne can now spawn with Aether Events. Hellborne grant +1 Aether.

Aetheric Mass
Masses are great at spawning more events and granting additional spawns of enemies. Use the following to synergize with other types of Offerings, such as Aether Fiends or Hellborne.

The Massing Masses - Masses health is greatly increased. Masses have a chance to reform on death.

The Bursting Masses - Masses deal unavoidable damage. Wave start, spawn two Aetheric Masses. (You can pick this in two separate waves to get a total of 4 to start).

The Teeming Masses - Masses knockback when dealing damage. Masses have a chance to spawn an Aether Fiend on death.

The Hellish Masses - Masses explode on death. Masses have a chance to spawn Hellborne on death.
