What's New with Midnight Skinning?
Traditionally, Skinning has always been a bit of an oddity among the Professions, and Midnight Skinning isn't an exception. The base mechanics of Skinning haven't changed, but Midnight sees the addition of one mechanic, making the profession at least slightly more interactive.
Skinners will want to enable a new tracking feature, Find High-Value Beasts. This will allow you to see special enemies - indicated by both a minimap icon as well as sparkle particles around them - that will provide significantly more reagents than normal when skinned.
Other than this new feature, Skinning is as basic as it has been in previous expansions. Lures are still available for those who wish to summon high-value mobs to skin, and Diffusers are available for those who are looking to farm Motes alongside leather and scales, but otherwise, the gameplay loop should be the same!
