This down-to-earth (almost slice of life, for Azeroth) trailer really captures the spirit of the community, from hunting collectibles to interacting with guild mates (and seeing their "Elegant" Lawn Flamingo obsession projects). With the announcements from the State of Azeroth video, there's plenty of easter eggs we can find in the video: both those announced, and some fun ones that may hint to future updates to Housing!
Transmog and Weapons - It's Time to Show Off
While Ion mentioned focusing on showing off cosmetic collections, one thing he didn't directly state was what would happen with weapon and armor transmogs that people want to display. This trailer, however, has several examples of weapons and armor being displayed around the home in the same way trophies are!
Wall-mounted, inside other decor, or freestanding on the floor - it certainly looks like weapons and armor will be on the table for the future.
Pets and Mounts are Moving In
Less of an easter egg, more of a confirmation: Ion mentioned that pets and mounts would be coming to Player Housing, and that's certainly on display here! Between the Mimiron's Head in the front yard (does that look like a stable to anyone?) and the Corgi Pup curled up in front of the fireplace, players will soon be able to add their very own pets to their homes.
We don't know what kind of limitations will be placed on this - or how this could work with alts in your warband in the future - but for now, this is a huge step to allowing more personalization in your neighborhood.
Toys On Parade
We've seen potential previews of toys in homes before, but never like this - there are clear shots of multiple Pepes from the Trans-Dimensional Bird Whistle, each with different outfits.
It's unlikely that simply using a toy would be able to provide decor like this, but decor inspired by toys? That should definitely be on the table!
Could Custom Photos be On the Horizon?
One of the most potentially exciting easter eggs in the video is a lingering shot of a photo - one that looks like an "in-game" screenshot of the Blood Elf Rogue's guild. This "custom" art is certainly not the standard kind you see models for around cities, so is it possible that players will be able to add their own custom photos to their homes?
We recently discovered what looks like a new promotion related to photo sharing - complete with strings enabling the feature - in a recent datamine. It could certainly be just a coincidence, but the timing, and the focus on Player Housing's official launch, could mean that this feature may actually let players take photos in-game and use them in their homes.
Even more strings have just been discovered, leading us to believe this could be called World of Warcraft: Craft Your World!
