Ripostes During Prey Hunts
After surviving an ambush, your Prey target will disappear, and you might notice they leave a red trail behind them after disappearing. If you follow this trail, you will find a red-outlined version of your target trying to blend in with their surroundings. Right-clicking the target will allow you to Riposte them, granting additional Hunt progress.
Ripostes are only available after surviving an ambush, so remember to watch for the red trail that spawns after your target disappears. To survive an ambush, either lower your target's HP to 50% or use a Disarmed Trap on them.
