Did Blizzard Just Tease Wrath of the Lich King Coming to Anniversary Servers?

On January 7th, the same day that The Burning Crusade Anniversary release date was announced, Blizzard also posted a very cryptic message on Facebook - In the end, you will all serve me. Could this be a hint that Anniversary Servers will eventually progress to Wrath of the Lich King?

In addition to this chilling post, Blizzard also featured The Lich King in the intro of their recent BlizzCon 2026 announcement video. This led many players to speculate that perhaps Wrath of the Lich King Anniversary will be one of the many games that Blizzard reveals in September.

If Blizzard does announce Wrath of the Lich King Anniversary at BlizzCon 2026, this would give them plenty of time to continue working on the long-term future of WoW Classic. While nothing has been announced yet, players are speculating that the Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch could release as early as December of this year.
