As the week continued on, other prominent WoW Classic content creators began to show up at Blizzard's campus in Southern California as well, including Esfand, Guzu, Savix, and sodapoppin.
While none of the streamers have disclosed the reason for their visit to the Blizzard campus, all of these content creators have heavy involvement in the Classic community and have spoken about what they would like to see in a future version of WoW Classic. But what exactly is Classic+? While there is much debate over what the future game mode could be, Esfand recently summarized his Classic+ wish list.
While opinions vary, many in the community believe that Classic+ should be an extension of the Vanilla WoW world, where characters do not progress beyond level 60, and maybe the Dark Portal never even opens. Many cite The Burning Crusade pre-patch as a great starting point, with access to new spells and talents that help balance the Specializations.
While Season of Discovery was a great experimental project, many players agree that the Rune system went too far and that the seasonal game mode was a little too different from the original Classic. What many players do agree on is the expansion of content that SoD provided, namely the Karazhan Crypts dungeon and Scarlet Enclave raid. There are so many other pieces of content that could exist within the Vanilla setting, including:
Gilneas
Uldum
Mount Hyjal
Grim Batol
Dalaran
Twilight Highlands
Timbermaw Hold
Karazhan Tower
...the list goes on. The amount of content that could exist in a Vanilla setting is staggering. That is why many content creators and members of the community believe that a future version of Classic, set in the original world of Azeroth, is on the way. Could Blizzard be planning to reveal this new, forever Classic game mode at BlizzCon later this year? Only time will tell.
Why do you think content creators were invited to Blizzard's campus last week? Do you think it has to do with the developement of Classic+, or could it be something else? Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below!
