Diablo 4 Season 10 PTR Developer Q&A to be Held on Discord

After cancelling the PTR Developer Livestream, Blizzard has made an interesting announcement: A live Q&A session on August 14th at 11 a.m. PDT in the Sanctuary Discord. Featuring Aislyn Hall, Charles Dunn, and Ben Fletcher from the Diablo 4 team and being hosted by community figure and content creator Cliptis, it's sure to be packed with important information about the highly anticipated Season 10.

Typically there would be a livestream on the official Diablo channels for the PTR, going over important content in a showcase. This time around, citing a planned revamp to the format, Blizzard has decided to do a Q&A on Discord instead. This move has received a lukewarm reaction from a lot of people in the community, partly due to there being many who do not use Discord to receive official information about their games, but also because its unclear how effective the communication will be with this new format. While Discord has multiple features that could help transmit the information, it is inherently a Social Media platform and the visibility would be closer to that of a Reddit Q&A.
