Decor Duel
Decor Duels was a game mode added in Patch 12.0.5 that was heavily criticized on launch. Many oversights allowed you to cheese the system, and the game mode penalized you for standing still as a hider... which was the whole point of the game.
Blizzard has taken action on the feedback of the game mode, making hiding easier and also buffing the rate of Illusionary Coins to get those last items. Once Patch 12.1 launches, Decor will be available, but nothing has been said about the cosmetics which includes a mount Magister's Spell Bee Comb, 3 toys and more!
Heed the final call to join Decor Duels before the doors close in this final surge before the Curse of Ula’tek goes live. To help you get the most out of it, we’ve made a few additional changes.
Hiders will no longer be automatically revealed when thirty seconds remain in the match.
Flies have been removed from Hiders who stay in one location for too long.
The energy increase rate for Seekers has been reduced by 20%.
Players will earn double the rate of Illusionary Coins
Once the dust settles and Decor Duel is no longer available, players will still be able to purchase Decor items from the vendors in Silvermoon City.
These changes will be available after weekly resets.
Amidst all the danger that swirls above Azeroth, there’s something to be said about having a little fun. Join in a team vs team hide-and-seek style game taking place in Silvermoon City (Midnight). Previously announced in the State of Azeroth, this fast-paced player vs. player activity puts you right in the thick of it whether you’re a harmless cheese platter or some other seemingly innocuous item.
No matter your level, it’s an even playing field once the match begins.
Map: Silvermoon’s Falconwing Square
Levels: 10-90
Rules
Casual, non-lethal PvP
Hiders use illusions to disguise themselves as everyday objects.
Seekers use dispelling magic to break the hiders’ disguises.
Get Found and Tagged, and you’re out!
Players can queue up from anywhere using the Group Finder (Hotkey- I) under the Player vs. Player tab in Quick Match. You can also speak with Fieldweaver Amolenne in Falconwing Square in Silvermoon City.
Each team takes turns either hiding or seeking and there are multiple item illusions you can start as which are chosen randomly for you. Once you’ve found your hiding spot, you won’t want to sit too long or you’ll begin to collect flies and give your position away.
At the start of the match, you’ll be placed in a staging area until the match begins. Seekers will be able to choose from three different seeking types in this staging area, each with slightly different abilities allowing you to swiftly move about the map or reveal those hidden. Those who are hiding will have a short time to find their best hiding spot and get ready to evade detection.

You might not defeat the Void and save Azeroth by taking part in this event, but it’s a great way to find a bit of fun in the face of the ever-present threat the Void presents. We’ll see you…or maybe not… in Decor Duels.
