Darkmoon Faire Reputation Buff Benefits Midnight Renown Over Cap

When Midnight went into early access, we learned that the Darkmoon Faire reputation buff would no longer apply to new Midnight renown, however, we've now discovered that those new factions can still benefit after the main track has been completed!

The normal renown track for each standard faction consists of 20 ranks or levels, each requiring 2,500 reputation to complete and unlocking a new reward. Since Midnight went into early access, the Darkmoon Faire buff does not benefit this progress.

A standard world quest awards 75 reputation, with or without the DMF buff active when still below max renown.

However, upon reaching the maximum renown rank of 20, further reputation goes towards earning bonus reward satchels, which it appears that the Darkmoon Top Hat and WHEE! buffs will benefit! Although we used world quests to test, we can confirm that it also applies to other sources of reputation, such as quest rewards.

Upon reaching maximum renown, the buff now increases from 75 to 82.

Admittedly, we're not entirely sure whether this is intentional, though the impact is fairly low. Maximum renown rewards like the Overflowing Silvermoon Trove do contain an assortment of gold, healing potions, dyes, dawncrests, and Voidlight Marl, though unlike paragon bags of expansions past, they do not contain any pets, mounts, toys, or other exclusive rewards. This means there isn't a lot of incentive to go out of your way to maximize those reputation gains after completing the normal renown track.
