On live servers, players who want quick Aspect Crests typically run a +6 keystone as that's the easiest level keystone for Aspect Crests. It seems that this may be changing in The War Within, with the highest level of crest, Gilded crests, requiring +9 keystones or higher, making them harder to obtain.

Crests Require Higher Mythic+ Keys in The War Within
In The War Within Beta, Upgrade Crests now require higher level keystones to be completed with the highest level of Crest dropping from +9s and above!
