Feeling weak after the item level squish? A recent hotfix to the Crest upgrade achievements has made it so that everyone should be able to get a bit of an item level boost!
When hitting item level breakpoints in TWW, players can earn achievements that allow them to trade excess Crest currencies for higher-tier (or lower, if you were low) versions. Vaskarn in Dornogal sells several conversion bundles such as Glorious Cluster of Gilded Ethereal Crests, but these are only available with the proper achievement to unlock them - and it seems now, virtually every character will receive all four achievements on login.
What seems to be happening is that after the item level squish, characters were "watermarked" at their old item levels - meaning well over the 160 item level required instead of 720, listed on the achievement itself. Even alts that never made it to level 80 had a higher ilevel than 160, so logging in will grant the achievement, giving a boost of Gilded Ethereal Crest if you're willing to grind out trade fodder.
