The Missing Lynx, Dachshund Pet Cafe
Xal'atath's Voidstorm threatens the Sunwell and all of Azeroth as we know it with the very sky a constant reminder of that impending doom. Anxiety is coursing through Silvermoon and tensions are high, but if you're looking for a brief escape or haven against the storm then look no further than the Missing Lynx.
Located in the upper tier of Murder Row in Silvermoon City (/way 52.43, 63.49), the Missing Lynx offers a relaxing and enchanting experience for pets and owners alike. While you might venture in for the pastries or treats, you'll almost assuredly stay for the bounty of adorable pets running about including the many, many Dachshunds.
The Missing Lynx isn't just home to Dachshunds (or elfhounds as they're known in game) though there are plenty of them playing about and chasing their tails. You'll see other dogs, like Corgis and Chihuahuas; plenty of cats including some chonkers; birds and jumping fish in comically small bowls; and even a crab.
It's not just the animals either; the cafe is elaborately decorated with dog houses, pet bowls, collars, leashes, treats, chew toys, and plushies galore. Everything a pet could want and more. Mix in some comfortable pillows, elegant dining setups, decadent pastries, and even a full espresso station complete with grinder and coffee beans and it's a cozy corner destination for owners alike.
Cafe caretakers tend to patrons and there are plenty of animals to pet and observe, but technically there aren't any traditional vendors or specific things to do or purchase in the the Missing Lynx. And honestly that's completely okay for how wonderful this cafe is, not every space needs to have particular utility attached to it. I think that's overall the compelling nature and beauty of Silvermoon as a whole; the city feels alive and probably the closest that WoW has ever come to creating an organic metropolitan experience in-game.
As someone who hasn't been as active with Player Housing, the Missing Lynx makes me want to develop my own cozy cafe corner, a place where my real life Dachshund Zero and I can just have as our own in Azeroth. I'm eagerly awaiting the Pet & Layout Updates for Player Housing if this is what is possible with pets added in the mix. I can't wait to Find my own Missing Lynx.
