Building a Heroic Army – Tips and Tricks to Complete this Achievement

One of the trickiest achievements to complete in Legion Remix is Building a Heroic Army due to the lack of scaling of your Withered facing Heroic World Tier enemies. We've prepared a handful of tips and tricks to help you complete the required points for this achievement.

Withered Army Training Overview
Withered Army Training is a daily World Quest in Suramar, which unlocks after you complete the introduction of the zone. It is a scenario-esque dungeon that has you training an army of Withered for a future attack to retake Suramar City.

Our Comprehensive Suramar Guide has a section that explains the other mechanics from the scenario in-depth. Note that this guide was written for Live servers, not Legion Remix, so some sections might be slightly off.

Win Condition
The achievement, however, doesn't require you to finish the scenario or even obtain the max score. It only requires you to obtain 200 points out of the possible 700 or so points in the scenario.

Knowing this, you can tailor your route accordingly to avoid deadly enemies and open spaces that leave your Withered vulnerable.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race
The main thing to remember is that there is no time limit. Take your time pulling mobs back. The most frequent reason for failing this achievement is letting all your Withered die due to them aggroing something else in the room.

Avoid Volatile Wraiths
The most deadly enemy for your Withered are Volatile Wraiths. These Arcane elementals have two big AoE abilities, Arcane Munition and Unstable Explosion, which, if allowed to cast, will likely decimate some, if not all, of your Withered.

For that, always make sure to focus Volatile Wraiths down and stun/interrupt their casts.

Enter With More Withered
By donating more Ancient Mana to start the scenario, you are able to enter it with more Withered, making it easy not to deplete your army.

You can donate up to 2000 mana, which requires having all treasure upgrades, to start with 20 Withered, 1 per 100 Ancient Mana, instead of 4.

Increasing your Mana Cap
By finishing the Suramar main campaign, you'll have only 1500 maximum Ancient Mana. You can expand that to 2000 by collecting five treasures scattered around Suramar.

Controlling Your Withered
There isn't much that can be done to control your Army, honestly. The only way is to set their stance by using your extra action button. You never want to have your army on Aggressive (Mayhem!), as that will cause the Withered to run loose, aggroing extra mobs and likely dying.

Better Gear for Easier Time
As with everything in Legion Remix, this achievement will only become easier with time. If you're finding yourself struggling through it, make sure to finish grinding your gear to 740 and increasing your Infinite Power. Being able to one-shot entire rooms with Twisted Crusade and kill enemies several times faster really helps in the long run.

Remember, you only need 200 points, so you can be picky with what enemies you fight. Focus on weaker mobs until you reach it, and then you can leave.

Normal Mode
If you're still having trouble, you can, instead, run the scenario on normal for a few days to improve your army. I don't personally recommend doing this, as it is not as time-efficient as just improving your overall gear/artifact, but it is an option. You can check our Withered Training Army section of the Suramar Guide for details on how the upgrade system works. Note that you won't notice a big improvement on your withered as Heroic Tier scaling is much higher than the bonuses unlocked.
