Blizzard has published a very detailed post on the issues plaguing Wrath servers. Many Classic realms began to see a spike in queue times to join servers, and over Labor Day weekend, this problem was exacerbated to a breaking point, where the most populated realms were reaching a queue of over 10,000 people, making it a six hour wait to begin playing the game.
