The Lich King Strikes At Midnight!
If you want your journey into Northrend to get a truly epic start, why not head to one of the many stores holding midnight openings to celebrate the launch of the latest expansion of World of Warcraft, Wrath of the Lich King? Not only can you obtain a copy of the game on the stroke of midnight, you can also mix with other World of Warcraft fans and many stores are holding special events prior to the midnight release. This list of stores should provide you with the starting point for an extra dash of icy coolness, and we’ll be adding more locations as they become available.
European and North American Warcraft Finals – 6/9-7/9
The 2008 European and North American Warcraft Finals will be taking place this weekend, September 6-7. These events will feature the top eight qualifiers from the 2008 World of Warcraft Arena and Warcraft III tournaments for their respective regions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to try out demos of Wrath of the Lich King and StarCraft II on-site. Admission is free, so come by and check it out if you’re in the area. New Russian PvP Realm Grom
Today we are planning to open a new Russian speaking PvP realm: Grom. This realm will be destination for migrations from all European realms, and will have character creation disabled for now.
Note: Any migration may be closed at any point without previous notice due to population concerns. Please read this thread (in Russian) for more information about this migration.
Call of the Crusade Now Live
Call of the Crusade, the new World of Warcraft content update, is now live! Under thundering skies, Argent Tournament participants have honed the arts of war and faced off in bone-shattering jousting matches to earn the right to be called champions. But these heroes have yet to face the greatest challenge of all: the Crusaders’ Coliseum, an all-new level-80 raid dungeon available in both normal and more challenging Heroic versions for both 10 and 25 players. Call of the Crusade also introduces the new Isle of Conquest Battleground, the ability to gain experience points in Battlegrounds, new daily quests, and significant changes to class talents and abilities.

Finalizing Russian Migration – FCM
The free character migration to allow players on Molten Core, Shadowmoon, Stonemaul and Warsong to join larger realm communities has been opened. The destination realms for each are the following:
Molten Core –> Burning Steppes, Deathwing, Dentarg
Shadowmoon –> Boulderfist, Spinebreaker, Xavius
Stonemaul –> Ahn’Qiraj, Burning Blade, Jaedenar
Warsong –> Auchindoun, Bladefist, Haomarush
