After completing this on your main character, your alts will be able to zone into Black Temple, but as of now, Blizzard has not communicated anything related to a potential Bind-on-Account Medallion of Karabor.

Therefore, by completing this attunement chain with an alt, you'll receive a Neck item that could be helpful in the raid, especially on an encounter like Mother Shahraz, where Shadow Resistance is highly recommended.

How Much Shadow Resistance is Needed for Mother Shahraz?

As an alternative for those who don't wish to complete the attunement on an alt, you could always prepare the Pendant of Shadow's End, which provides 30 Shadow Resistance along with an on-use effect that absorbs 900 to 2700 Shadow damage for all nearby party members.
