All you need to do is register for the event on Raider.IO and complete at least two +10 or higher keystones with eligible groups to earn the banner, with other prizes detailed below.
Break the Meta
BTM participation is on an individual basis, which means players can participate with any number of others throughout the event in various groups without affecting their eligibility for prizes, as long as every member of each group is playing an eligible specialization. In order for a keystone to be eligible, it must be completed in time and made up of ONLY the following specs:
DPS: Affliction Warlock, Arcane Mage, Assassination Rogue, Balance Druid, Destruction Warlock, Devastation Evoker, Enhancement Shaman, Feral Druid, Fire Mage, Frost Death Knight, Havoc Demon Hunter, Marksmanship Hunter, Outlaw Rogue, and Windwalker Monk
Healers: Discipline Priest, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Preservation Evoker, and Restoration Druid
Tanks: Blood Death Knight, Protection Paladin, Protection Warrior, and Vengeance Demon Hunter
Previous Break the Meta events took place between each regional reset to account for weekly affixes, but since this is no longer an issue, everyone will now compete over the same time period.

Raider.IODetermining the “meta” for the majority of players is always a complicated task. In past Seasons, we opted to focus on lower keystones, as they were the levels being completed most often. However, after feedback from the community, we’ve decided to increase it and focus more on the higher-level meta. The highest keystones completed so far this Season are +24, and the vast majority of keystones being completed are +10. After reviewing the data available to us, we have determined that +18 and up is the best threshold that represents when the “meta” truly begins to take hold.
After sorting the participation data to show +18 and up dungeons for the full Season, we take the bottom 50% of specs for each role. This provides us with our baseline list of eligible Specs. From this point, we make adjustments as needed to accommodate various considerations, but we believe this methodology provides the best representation of the classes and specs that are considered “off-meta” or lesser-used by the Community at-large. Please see notes below for further details.
New Bounties
New in Midnight are Break the Meta Bounties, a collection of challenges to complete dungeons with specific group compositions, intended to encourage players to compete for even more prizes! Unlike regular prizes though, these bounties aren't a raffle: there will only be one winner in each category, for the team which places highest in each challenge!

The full Bounty list, and the corresponding competition window for each is listed below. Each Bounty will be open for 24 hours, starting at 8am PDT and will close at 8am PDT the following day. Each Bounty will have a corresponding Leaderboard. The group at the top of the Leaderboard (highest scoring keystone) at the end of the 24 hour period will be declared the winners. There will be one Leaderboard combined for the NA, EU, and KR/TW regions, and only one winning team amongst the three regions.
In order for a Mythic+ dungeon to be considered eligible for a Bounty prize, it must be Live Tracked via the Raider.IO App, be completed in-time during the specific Bounty’s 24 hour window, and satisfy the Bounty composition requirement while only using BTM-Eligible Specs

BTM Prizes
Aside from competition and bragging rights, Break the Meta is also an opportunity for players to earn a variety of prizes, including, pets, toys, and game time!
Remember that only dungeons completed IN-TIME during BTM Week using ONLY eligible specializations will be considered “BTM Eligible” for rankings and prizes.

Umbral Champion’s Illustrious Banner
We are once again partnering with Blizzard for BTM to provide players another opportunity to earn the Umbral Champion's Illustrious Banner! This in-game toy was made available to participants of the MDI Time Trials and AWC Qualifiers this Season. The opportunities to get this exclusive toy are few and far between, so we’re excited to provide one more chance to collect this awesome in-game item through Break the Meta!
Register for the event and complete at least TWO (2) BTM-Eligible keystones at level +10 or higher during BTM Week, and the Umbral Champion’s Illustrious Banner will be automatically added to your collection in-game approximately 30 days after winners are announced.

BTM Midnight S1: Competitive Leaderboards
Break the Meta is, after all, a competition, and competitions have winners! We will be awarding 60 days of WoW Game Time to the players who achieve the highest Mythic+ Character Score for each BTM-Eligible specialization in each of the four eligible regions: Americas, Europe, Korea/Taiwan, and China. With 23 eligible specs, that’s a grand total of 92 winners!

In order to win the BTM Prize Bundle, you must complete BTM-Eligible dungeons in-time during BTM Week while using the Raider.IO Desktop App with Live Tracking enabled. Every completed keystone, regardless of level, earns you 1 entry into the raffle, and one lucky winner will be chosen after the event ends! There is only one BTM Prize Bundle shared between all eligible regions.
Entries into the raffle for the BTM Prize Bundle are on an individual basis -- that is to say that even if someone in your dungeon group is using Live Tracking, you will only get an entry if you are Live Tracking as well.
