Another Large L’ura Nerf Added to 12.0.7 Patch Notes – P1 Wipe Factory Nerfed

Another large L'ura Nerf has been added to the Patch 12.0.7 Patch Notes which seems to significantly nerf Phase 1.

Yesterday night, Blizzard released L'ura nerfs on all difficulties. While these nerfs help progression somewhat, they didn't really address any of the major issues with the encounter: Crystals, Glaives or Intermission. With all guilds pulling hundreds of pulls on this boss, Phase 1 is a significant number of wipes.

In today's update of Patch Notes, the previously announced L'ura nerfs were added to the Official Patch 12.0.7 Patch Notes.

MARCH ON QUEL'DANAS

Midnight Falls
Glimmering damage reduced by 20% on Mythic difficulty.

Reduced the spread of Midnight Crystals and Dusk Crystals.

Starsplinter can no longer target a player twice at the same time.

Criticality cast time increased to 4 seconds (was 3 seconds).

Dawn Crystals now begin pulsing Radiance after 6 seconds on Heroic and Mythic difficulties (was 5 seconds).

Dark Constellation cast time increased to 3 seconds on Mythic difficulty (was 2.5 seconds).

Dark Constellations now spawn further from Light Siphons.

Radiance damage reduced by 50% on Heroic difficulty.

Tears of L'ura now spawn 1 soak on Heroic difficulty (was 2).

Resonance no longer triggers Tears of L'ura.

If you look at the very end, a brand new line has been added which should significantly reduce the wipe potential in Phase 1.

Resonance no longer triggers Tears of L'ura.

One of the most deadly portions of Phase 1 is leaving a crystal on the ground as if it gets hit by Resonance or a Glaive, the raid instantly wipes. However, you also don't want to hold the crystal during Memory game as you summon soaks right before the beam. With this change, this means that you will never have to drop the crystal for all of Phase 1 completely removing two of the common types of wipes in Phase 1. This should also mean that you're allowed to clear on top of Crystal carriers in Phase 3 without summoning extra soaks.
