Extending Camera Distance Trick Via Macro or Config Cache No Longer Works

As of yesterday's new live retail build, the ability to extend your camera distance no longer works.

With Midnight, players had originally found a new trick in order to extend your camera distance past the normal limits. This was originally done in Macro form, and allowed you to zoom out your camera to a distance of "50" which allowed players to see more on the same screen. The downside of this macro was that you couldn't zoom in and out by default, but if used in end game content, this wasn't much of a concern, and the macro could be reverted afterwards.

This extended distance was very popular and useful on the difficult encounters in March of Quel'Danas where deadly mechanics would frequently show up behind you, making them difficult to see and dodge at times.

However, this was originally "fixed" on April 23rd and the macro was no longer made to work. That being said, players were still able to access the command via changing it in the config cache.

Now, as of April 30th, the latest retail build has completely removed the ability to zoom the camera further. If you used the command at any point, you need to go into your retail folder on each character and change the cameraDistanceFixedValue setting from "50" to "-1".
