Using the Voidforge in Patch 12.0.5

These Nebulous Voidcores can then be used after completing a Season 1 raid boss, Mythic+ dungeon, Bountiful Delve, or Nightmare Prey Hunt to earn an extra piece of gear from that activity's loot table. An item for their current loot-specialization will always be awarded as if it came from the Great Vault and the same item will never be awarded twice on that difficulty.
Because they have smaller loot tables, raid bosses require spending two Voidcores for each bonus roll, while other activities use just one at a time.
Instead of taking an item from the weekly vault, players can earn a third bonus roll in exchange for Thalassian Token of Merit.
Bonus rolling a M+10 dungeon awards 1/6 Myth gear, as if it came from the vault.
This serves two purposes. Not only is it a way to quickly get a lot of high-end gear, it also allows players to effectively target farm specific pieces of gear over time. Because Hero-track gear is already fairly abundant, this means that the Voidcores are best used to obtain Myth-track pieces of gear from Mythic raid bosses or Mythic+10 dungeons, but they can be used however a player desires, to hunt down whatever gear they still need.
Much Mythic Moolah
With this new system, players can functionally guarantee up to three Myth-track pieces of gear per week by just by completing Mythic+10 dungeons - one from the weekly vault and two more from spending their bonus rolls. This is a major change from seasons of the past, in which dungeon-only players were limited to one Myth piece a week for an entire patch cycle, bringing more parity to players simply by showering them with high-end gear.
Nothing good in your vault? Just take Tokens and purchase an extra bonus roll each week instead!
Deciding where to use these bonus rolls is really a matter of what gear you have and what gear you still need. While target farming specific items is good for getting the last few remaining items you need, it may not be particularly efficient to spend several weeks chasing one item out of five potential drops, when another activity can potentially award several useful items instead. Once players reach the point of chasing after just a few specific items from different dungeons, it may even be worth stockpiling several weeks worth of coins before spending them all at once, just in case one of them happens to show up in the vault. This is doubly true for players who have more Myth items than crests to upgrade them - there's no need to rush to acquire more 1/6 Myth items that aren't any better than their 6/6 Hero equivalents if you don't have enough Dawncrests to upgrade them further.
Players can use Nebulous Voidcores to more easily obtain specific equipment whether they’re chasing best-in-slot items on their main character or looking to quickly gear up their alts later in the season.
Upon defeating a Midnight Season 1 raid boss or completing a Mythic+ Dungeon, Bountiful Delve, or Prey Hunt on Nightmare difficulty, players may choose to spend their Nebulous Voidcores to receive a random item appropriate for their Loot Specialization from that activity. After receiving an item in this way, it is removed from that loot pool until all eligible items have been obtained on a per-difficulty basis. For example, receiving the Ranger-Captain’s Iridescent Insignia trinket from the Crown of the Cosmos encounter in the Voidspire on Normal difficulty will not remove it from consideration on Heroic or Mythic difficulty. The item level of Mythic+ rewards from Nebulous Voidcores is equivalent to Great Vault rewards from that Keystone level, i.e., Myth 1/6 at Keystone level +10 and above.
Decimus will offer Nebulous Voidcores to the player in exchange for a choice of valuable resources including gold, Voidlight Marl, and Veteran Dawncrests. The total number of Nebulous Voidcores available to a character increases by two every week for the remainder of the season. Due to the smaller loot pools and the exceptional power of raid items, these rewards will require two Nebulous Voidcores upon defeating a raid boss. Other endgame content, such as Mythic+, will cost only one. As a result, acquiring a particularly desired trinket, weapon, or ring is likely to require a similar total of Nebulous Voidcores regardless of source. For example, a player chasing a trinket from a raid boss with three total items matching their Loot Specialization is likely to receive that trinket in the same amount of time it would take to acquire a trinket from a Mythic+ dungeon with six total items.
Players can also purchase a Nebulous Voidcore from Vaultkeeper Elysa for six Thalassian Tokens of Merit. Nebulous Voidcores acquired in this way do not count against the weekly increasing cap.
