Despite claiming they cannot be used by players higher than level 80, the Convincingly Realistic Jumper Cables continue to work for max-level players in Midnight, and the max rank version has only a 2-second cast time, which is faster than the new version offered in Midnight. This does comes with a notable downside though, as they have a chance to fail.

Rank only affects cast time, requiring 6, 4, or 2 seconds to use.

Moving over to Midnight, the new Emergency Soul Link are are generally more expensive and the max rank has a longer 3-second cast time, but they cannot fail, making them much more reliable when it matters. Like The War Within version, they are crafted by Engineers, but can be used by anyone.
