Get the Archon App and Record Your Gameplay
Start your logs, select which game content to record, and the app will automatically take care of the rest, syncing everything together for easy review!
Automated Recording, Seamless Syncing
Rather than messing with Shadowplay or trying to clip Twitch streams, the new app allows users to create a log using their normal combat data, while also recording video of their gameplay, combining log and video analysis to get a more complete picture of what happened when. All of this can be viewed in the app itself, including all the features of a normally uploaded combat log, so the Replay Map will pinpoint where allies and enemies were standing throughout an encounter, even if they moved out of your view.
The best part is that this is all handled autonomously. All users need to do is select what type of game content they want to record, such as Heroic Raids or Mythic+12 keys and higher, and the app will take over from there. As long as you're logging combat data, it will automatically sync the two, so your replay will match up exactly with the associated combat log, replay map, and timeline... which should make it really easy to see who ignored those stop DPS calls!
Gameplay recording is currently available for World of Warcraft and Fellowship, with support for other games still in development.
Partnering with Warcraft Recorder
If this sounds a lot like Warcraft Recorder, that's because it's now part of the Archon family! Warcraft Recorder creator Alex joined the Archon engineering team to bring another layer of expertise to the project, as they continue to work on new features such as cloud storage to support groupwide POVs. As outlined in their FAQ, Warcraft Recorder will continue to exist as a free and open source program for those who prefer it, while current Warcraft Recorder Pro supporters will automatically be upgraded to ad-free experiences across Warcraft Logs, Archon.gg, and their apps.
Alex, Warcraft Recorder"I've known some of the team behind Archon for a long time. Yax and I have raided together for several years, attended guild meetups together and he even encouraged me to work on the video sharing features back when it was just an idea. I know they are as enthusiastic as me about delivering a great video experience tailored for the WoW community.
Our joint vision is that in time the Archon App becomes the one true app with everything you need, including a rich integration of combat log analytics with the video features that Warcraft Recorder users know and love. There is a lot of work to get there, so I also want to re-assure users of Warcraft Recorder that nothing in the short term is changing. Warcraft Recorder continues to be fully supported, free and open source. Warcraft Recorder Pro subscriptions continue as they are, and as a bonus subscribers now get ad-free viewing on the Archon family of websites."
One Stop for Analytics
No longer juggling separate log uploaders, the new app takes on the existing functionality for Archon's entire suite of supported games, including all versions of World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online, Final Fantasy XIV, Star Wars The Old Republic, and Fellowship. When you launch a game, the Archon App will automatically swap to it.
Although it doesn't outright replace normal web browsing, the app also features a brand new report view, with damage and healing breakdowns, phase filtering, combat deaths, and more. There are even new features, such as premade filters for damage to bosses, to adds, healing done, major cooldowns, and even some unique character or encounter specific filters to help quickly analyze the situation.
Updated character pages similarly provide a summary of content the character has completed, how they performed, their gear, and specializations. There are even new Group Finder tools and a Recent Allies report to help players round out their groups with those they've played alongside before.
