Flying in TBC Classic Overview

Learning How to Fly in TBC Classic

In order to ride a flying mount in TBC, you must first acquire the skill to use it. Similar to weapon skills and professions, flying skill is learned at a specialized trainer for a fee. The Alliance and Horde have separate flying trainers in Outland:

Alliance players train with Ilsa Blusterbrew, who is found at Wildhammer Stronghold in Shadowmoon Valley (/way 37.4 56.2).

Horde players train with Olrokk, who is found at Shadowmoon Village in Shadowmoon Valley (/way 29.2 29.2).

The prices of Rare and Epic flying mounts and their associated skills are shown below:

Rare (60% speed)Expert Riding
Epic (280% speed)Artisan Riding

After training the skill, the flying mounts themselves are purchased from different NPCs close to the trainer:

Alliance players purchase their mounts from Brunn Flamebeard, who is found at Wildhammer Stronghold in Shadowmoon Valley (/way 37.6 56.0).

Horde players purchase their mounts from Dama Wildmane, who is found at Shadowmoon Village in Shadowmoon Valley (/way 29.2 29.4).
