Nameplates in Midnight: What’s Changing and What Add-Ons Can I Use?

With the Midnight Pre-Patch soon, you might be wondering, what's changing with my Nameplates, and what AddOns are still available for me to use? Let's dive into everything you need to know.

Midnight Overview

Nameplates in Midnight
From how they look to what information they display, nameplates in Midnight received many significant changes in comparison to their older counterpart. The most immediate change is in how nameplates look, offering a cleaner look with many different styles to choose from.

Nameplates also received many different customization options, allowing players to customize their Nameplates in a way that works for them.

Outside of looks, Nameplates come equipped with a few more features in Midnight, but may not have everything you're looking for.

Nameplate Add-Ons in Midnight
Listed below are two different Nameplate Add-Ons designed to offer you more customization outside of the base nameplate settings and styles.

Plater Nameplates
One of the more popular nameplate Add-Ons, Plater, is receiving an update for Midnight. With many Plater profiles already designed through Wago.io, players can easily import their favorite profiles into Plater, saving the time of editing the nameplate themselves!

Keep in mind, not all profiles will work with Midnight, but keep on the look for new profiles developed for the Midnight expansion! Plater Nameplates can be downloaded through CurseForge.

Platynator
Platynator is a newly developed Add-On featuring very simple customization options built entirely to work with the Midnight Add-On constraints. This Add-On offers a clean, fresh look for the new Nameplates style if players are finding something different than the base UI nameplates.

Platynator can be downloaded through CurseForge.
