Blizzard has explained one of the new Shadow Priest Dragonflight talents, Idol of Y'Shaarj, which changes effects based on your targets emotional state.

In today's Priest Talent Trees, one of the Shadow Priest capstone traits reads as follows:

Idol of Y'Shaarj: Shadowfiend causes you to gain a benefit based on your target's current emotional state.
