Scourgewar, the first full Wrath of the Lich King-themed set in Upper Deck’s World of Warcraft Trading Card game, is available now. Designed for new players, existing players, or anyone looking to get back into the game, Scourgewar introduces mounts to the TCG and is the first set to fully integrate the death knight class. As always, there are exclusive Loot cards to be found as well, including the Spectral Kitten, a smaller, cuter, non-combat pet counterpart to the Spectral Tiger mount.

Champions’ Carnival Coverage
On November 21, the 2009 Champions’ Carnival was held in Taipei; a complete
overview of the event is now available. World of Warcraft Game Director Tom Chilton was on site to field a special Q&A session directly with the players in attendance. Shortly before the event, we conducted an interview with Little Grey, the first player in the world to complete every achievement in the game. We also have the full details of the Arena tournament that took place during the festival.

Letters to Greatfather Winter
Dear Greatfather Winter:
I’ve been very, very good this year. I killed Anub’Arak… twice. I only punted gnomes with pink hair. And I only ninja-looted once, but it was an accident no matter what that warlock tells you. I’m looking forward to getting my Winter Veil gift, and think Smokywood Pastures is the greatest company ever( even if I can’t wear my belt anymore). Please bring me something nice this year. I’ve been ever-so-good (relatively speaking) and deserve something worthy a hero of my stature.
Yours always,
Minglejellz
P.S. I hope you like the Gingerbread Cookies and Ice Cold Milk. I hear it’s your favorite.
It’s that time of year again; the snowballs are flying and Smokywood Pastures has unpacked their goodies for everyone to enjoy (for a small fee, of course). It’s Winter Veil once more, and Greatfather Winter with his reindeer Metzen by his side will be delivering gifts to all the good little orcs and humans of the world. Be sure to write your letter to him now, before it’s too late, or you may get stuck with Graccu’s Mince Meat Fruitcake instead of that pony* you always wanted.
*Ponies not guaranteed.

Holiday Fan Art Calendar Contest
We’re honored to have so many talented artists among the ranks of World of Warcraft players, and we’re constantly amazed by the incredible Warcraft-themed art the community creates. We’re so impressed, in fact, that this year we’ve decided to place some of your artwork in the 2011 Official World of Warcraft Calendar! We’re inviting players to create a piece of artwork that helps us set the tone for each month and season, using any major in-game holiday as inspiration.
The contest ends February 8, 2010, so get into the spirit of your favorite in-game holiday and let your cup of creativity flow over! See the contest page for full details.
