World of Warcraft News
We’ve assembled the first part of the Battlecry photo mosaic from your photo submissions! Every 1,000 photos you send us will reveal another part of the mosaic and additional Warcraft artwork. When the full mosaic is revealed, your combined efforts will unlock an epic, exclusive piece of World of Warcraft art as a final reward.
Head over to the Battlecry photo mosaic page to view the mosaic in progress, and keep those photos coming!
The World of Warcraft five-year anniversary celebration is now officially underway! To mark this special occasion,
any character that logs into the game between now and Sunday, December 6 at 11:59 p.m. (realm time) will receive
their very own Onyxian Whelpling non-combat pet, along with a special message from the development team. We have
more World of Warcraft 5-year and Warcraft 15-year anniversary festivities coming soon, so be sure to keep your eye
on the official website. Thanks for being part of the adventure, and we look forward to many more whelps and great
memories in the years ahead.
Join the Grand Melee: Horde VS. Alliance – Battlecry Mosaic
For years the conflict between the Horde and the Alliance has ebbed and flowed — a perpetual convergence of steel and magic throughout the lands of Azeroth, Outland, and Northrend. Heroes have risen to the call wielding the banners of their chosen faction and have looked deep into the eyes of their enemies without fear. Now, the battle between the factions has spilled forth into the distant world known as Earth.
Heed the call of the Horde or Alliance and join in the Battlecry Mosaic! This battle is not waged with magic or weapons, but instead with photos. Simply print out your faction’s banner, take a picture with you, your friends, your guild, or even your faithful pet ferret, submit it, and you can be part of history. As each faction adds photos, so too can a virtual treasure trove of Warcraft images be gained and ultimately, reveal an exclusive piece of art with their faction leaders.
Visit the Battlecry Mosaic Page to get your banner and submit your image. Images should be in .jpg, .gif or .png format, with a minimum resolution of 1024 x768 (landscape) and a maximum file size of 5 MB.
Who will succeed first? The fierce Horde? Or the noble Alliance? Only you can make the difference in this war.
The sweepstakes winner for today (December 1, 2009) is Durga from Laughing Skull.
Congratulations on winning a NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260 graphics card by ASUS courtesy of this week’s sponsor, NVIDIA, one year of World of Warcraft game time, and an autographed Onyxia print!

Worried that you missed your chance to visit the Faire? Silas Darkmoon and his curious carnival have one final stop this year at the Rio in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 4 to 6. Not only will there be the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game and World of Warcraft Miniatures championships with incredible prizes, but there are plenty of opportunities for new and casual players to mingle — and maybe even loot the elusive Spectral Tiger mount for themselves. For a schedule and information on the final Darkmoon Faire stop in 2009, see Upper Deck’s Darkmoon Faire page.
World of Warcraft is now five years old, and FigurePrints is marking the occasion with a selection of limited-edition products. FigurePrints can now be ordered with an exclusive Onyxia-themed base for $9.95, and the Onyxian Whelpling is now available as a FigurePet for $29.95. Both are available for purchase at www.figureprints.com until the end of 2009
