During the Patch 9.1 PTR, we discovered The Devouring Cold gained a new on-use effect with seemingly no spells associated to it. While other special effect weapons such as Jaithys, the Prison Blade and Cruciform Veinripper were added to the test vendor to preview their combat effects, The Devouring Cold was left out, keeping its special effect a mystery.
