Auto Shot and Wanding Cast Time Reduction in WoW: Forever Not Intended – Will Be Fixed

Blizzard has announced that the reduction in cast time to Auto Shot and Wanding in the WoW: Forever beta are bugs and it will be fixed.

Since the WoW: Forever beta went live, players discovered that the Wanding and Auto Shot hidden cast times were reduced and were almost instant. This allowed for Hunters and casters with Wands to kite much more easily, as they would only need to stop for a fraction of a second to continue putting out damage.

Blizzard has now confirmed that the 0.5 cast time is not functioning properly and will be fixed.

We’ve been tracking an issue in the WoW Forever Beta where the 0.5-second cast time that precedes a Hunter’s auto-shot or the use of a wand is not functioning properly.

Due to a bug, these auto-shots are currently incurring a much shorter cast time, which in practice means that Hunters and wand users don’t need to stop to shoot for as long as intended.

This is something that we will fix in an upcoming Beta build, hopefully next week.
