Hardcore Characters Lost to DDoS Attack on July 21st Have Been Restored

Earlier this week, Blizzard was impacted by a DDoS attack, which resulted in the loss of several player characters on hardcore servers. Since these deaths were related to Blizzard server issues, characters lost on July 21st have now been restored.

On July 21, three Classic Hardcore realms in North America were impacted by a malicious DDoS attack, resulting in the deaths of some player-characters.

Today, we’ve restored the dead player-characters who were lost during the DDoS timeframe and remained on their Hardcore realm.

Restorations are now complete. Players who fit the above criteria should be able to log back into their character on the Hardcore realm.
