Season of Discovery’s Raiding Population Has Doubled in One Week

One week into the Community Fresh event on the Wild Growth (EU) server, the Season of Discovery raiding population has nearly doubled! While 4,623 raiders may not seem like a lot, this is just the first week of the event, and many players are still working on leveling, so they may not have gotten to raid before the weekly reset on Tuesday, June 23rd.

While this number may pale in comparison to the all-time high of 496,004 raiders in January 2024, the number of raiders will almost certainly increase over time as a result of this community fresh project. Recently, one of the leaders of this project, Guzu, stated that there could be upwards of 20,000 players participating in the event!

So far, Guzu has created 14 guilds, Savix is managing six guilds, and sunglitters has created two guilds, with up to 1,000 members each. And that's not to mention Jokerd's 4 guilds, Lmgd's speedrunning guild, and the multiple other guilds that have cropped up on both NA and EU servers as a part of this revival event. At the time of writing this article, the addon made specifically for this event, SoD Guild Found, has nearly 50,000 downloads.

The majority of players participating in this event are locking their experience to emulate a fresh Season of Discovery release, including the original maximum level brackets. While the event is currently in Phase 1, players will unlock their experience bars and continue the adventure to level 40 once Phase 2 goes live on Monday, June 29th!
