The Omnium Folio Guide
What is the Omnium Folio?
Patch 12.0.7 introduces the Omnium Folio, a source of player power with incremental upgrades over five weeks of objectives. The Omnium Folio draws its power from different Runes, with each Rune providing unique player buffs across PvE and PvP content. The powers earned from the Omnium Folio last for the remainder of the Midnight expansion.
Once unlocked, players begin unlocking its full power by completing weekly Seeking Knowledge quests. There are 5 quests in total, over 5 weeks, with each quest rewarding a Mote of Omnial Inquiry that can be used to unlock the next row of Runes in the Omnium Folio.
The first week's Seeking Knowledge quest, Seeking Knowledge Week 1 of 5: The Omnium Folio, requires players to retrieve the Omnium Folio from Grand Magister Rommath. In other words, players earn their first Mote of Omnial Inquiry instantly after unlocking the Omnium Folio!
There are two main Runes the Omnium Folio draws its power from, a Core Rune, and a Lingering Rune. The Core Rune provides bonus damage or healing, while the Lingering Rune further buffs these effects. Additional Runes in the Omnium Folio are choice nodes that provide additional buffs whenever your Core or Lingering Rune abilities trigger, such as bonus absorption shields, buffs to secondary stats, and more.
Borrowed Power Not Tied to a Gear Slot
In previous expansions, players have gained borrowed power through unique armor or gear, such as the Durable Information Securing Container, Cyrce's Circlet, and Onyx Annulet. While useful, these previous systems forced players to wear the gear with borrowed power, making other gear in the same armor slot feel useless. Additionally, this created painful grinding experiences for players with alts, as they'd have to repeat the same grind to unlock the power across all of their characters.
With the Omnium Folio, power is earned across your Warband rather than tied to your gear, saving players time and offering the convenience of only having to unlock the powers once. Additionally, the powers will last all of the Midnight expansion, so best to unlock it now!
