Unlocking the Ascendant Nilhammer
After building the Voidforge, the next step is to build the Ascendant Nilhammer, which allows you to further upgrade end-game gear in Midnight Season 1 through the use of Ascendant Voidcores.
This item will allow players to upgrade fully-upgraded weapons and trinkets on the Hero and Myth track, or that are crafted. Myth track loot will be increased to Item Level 298.
To unlock the Ascendant Nilhammer, players need to complete a 4-week-long quest chain, starting with New Tools, New Heights from Decimus. The introduction questline requires players to create a Weave Hungering Oblivium, the source of the Ascendant Nilhammer's power.
Decimus needs 4 Weave Hungering Oblivium total to build the Ascendant Nilhammer. To create a Weave Hungering Oblivium, players need to collect 3 Hungering Oblivium.
Hungering Oblivium drops from 3 different types of content in Midnight Season 1:
Defeating raid bosses from any of the 3 Midnight raids
Looting Bountiful Coffers from Bountiful Delves
Completing Mythic+ dungeons and looting the end chest
After earning their first Weave Hungering Oblivium, players must grab theFeeding the Nilhammer quest to earn additional Weave Hungering Oblivium. This quest is repeated until all four are created.
Being the third week of Patch 12.0.5, players can collect 3 Weave Hungering Oblivium. You can check how many Weave Hungering Oblivium you've already created by checking the Nascent Nilhammer out in the Voidstorm. Progression towards building the Ascendant Nilhammer is warband-wide.

The Ascendant Nilhammer brings significant power gains by further boosting the item level of end-game Midnight Season 1 gear. Specifically, this system brings further item-level upgrades to Hero and Myth-track gear, as well as the highest-quality Radiance-crafted gear.

With each Weave Hungering Oblivium requiring 3 raids, Delves, or Mythic+ dungeons, you're looking at doing this content 12 different times just to craft the Ascendant Nilhammer.
